GSA Members

Benefits - Opportunities - Tools

All students currently enrolled in credit-bearing graduate degree programs at the New Jersey Institute of Technology are members of the Graduate Student Association. Membership is granted through payment of the Graduate Student Activity Fee, which applies to both full-time and part-time students, with fee amounts varying by enrollment status.

GSA membership provides graduate students with formal representation in university governance, access to GSA programs and resources, and opportunities to engage in academic, professional, cultural, and social initiatives that enrich graduate student life. Members may run for office as GSA EBoard, RGO EBoard and DepReps, advocate for departmental and campus-wide improvements, apply for Travel Award funding to present their academic work at conferences, and access the full range of services available to NJIT graduate students.

Beyond representation and services, GSA membership is centered on building a strong, inclusive graduate community. Through active participation, shared perspectives, and collaborative engagement, graduate students contribute to a supportive environment where collective effort drives meaningful progress across NJIT’s graduate population.
